Dr. Kemalyan later completed a Research Fellowship in Cell Biology at OHSU’s Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy and a Clinical Fellowship at University of Washington Burn Center at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA. Dr. Kemalyan’s areas of focus include burn treatment, wound care, skin grafting, as well as burn and general surgery services.

Dr. Kiyasu later completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Virginia, Health Sciences Center.  He focuses on capsule endoscopies and other gastroenterology needs at The Oregon Clinic, Portland Gastroenterology division. Dr. Kiyasu is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association and the American College of Gastroenterology.  He has also received board certifications in gastroenterology and internal medicine.

He is board certified in Critical Care Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Medicine.  

He was a member of the faculty in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for five years before returning to Portland to join Northwest Surgical Associates. Dr. Lemmer is co-author of the popular textbook Patient Care in Cardiac Surgery and has published numerous scientific articles regarding cardiothoracic surgery. Currently, Dr. Lemmer is Surgery Department Chairman at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital and is Affiliated Associate Professor of Surgery at OHSU. Honors and awards include Phi Beta Kappa, Coller Surgical Society Clinical Tour Award, and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Medical Society.
